
Studio Manager
The studio of Christine Wisnieski is looking for a part-time studio manager to join its team. In this role, the studio manager will be responsible for creating an impression of warmth, professionalism and efficiency.
The ideal candidate is proactive, an excellent communicator, highly organized and a self starter. They are positive in their approach and maintain relationships with ease. They are passionate about taking on new challenges daily. They ensure projects are successful by managing risk and minimizing uncertainty. They are task-driven and clear and concise communicators.
They work closely with founder and accounting team to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions and assist with daily studio coordination.
DUTIES & TASKS
Accounting (60%)
Record transactions such as income and expenses, and posting them to various accounts
Organization of monthly receipts and statements into log
Processing payments
Prepare monthly bank and credit card statements, work with Accountants to reconcile statements monthly
Post and print checks
Process accounts payable and receivable
Manage invoices
Oversee out-of-scope billing
Deliver monthly status reports to clients outlining completed payments and any outstanding payments
File payroll
File monthly sales tax payments
File CAT tax payment
Studio and project support (20%)
Participate in weekly studio meeting with team to review project status and align any and all billing
Oversee and support all administrative duties in the studio and ensure that it is operating smoothly
Manage studio supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
Assist with maintaining the space, including: studio inventory, equipment, and key point of contact for any maintenance/repairs issues
Organize/submit production estimates to clients
New Business (20%)
Field new business inquiry emails and calls
Assist with new business estimates and proposals
Onboard new projects into Quickbooks online
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Bill.com, Adobe Creative Suite, G Suite, Asana and Slack a plus
Proficiency in QuickBooks online and Excel
Strong writing and editing skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Considered to have an eye for design and enjoys the creative process
A working knowledge of the design industry, or willingness to learn
HOURS
This role is a part-time contractor position, 10-15 hours a week to start, with potential to increase. A minimum of 3 days a week required. Position is currently remote with potential to be in studio mid fall. No holidays or weekends.
