A tavern is a place for the common man to gather; to drink, to eat and connect.
In 2010, Jonathon Sawyer chef/owner of The Greenhouse Tavern began making vinegars from excess beer and wine. The James Beard Award Winning chef was determined to find a way to add acid to his food and vinegar he made in his basement was the perfect locally crafted fit.
The origin of the restaurant’s name served as inspiration for the brand and package. The vinegar is hand bottled a 200ML glass flask and stamped with an off-center label. Each label is customized with hand written fermentation details.
